Good Morning!
Another snow day here.
It's kind of a good thing since instead of cleaning and doing laundry yesterday,
I sat on the couch for hours and cried while reading The Fault In Our Stars.
It's sweet and funny, but also very emotional.
Because I work in a K-8 school, I tend to read a lot of young adult/teen fiction.
I really enjoy it. Some of my favorite novels were written for children.
I did take a break from the book long enough, not to toss in a load of laundry, but to play around a little more with my color shine sprays.
I did run the dishwasher ;)
I sprayed the color shine sprays onto a butterfly mask and then turned it over onto a piece of cardstock. I made a mint version too.
Thanks for coming by today!

What beautiful cards. Those butterflies are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThose butterflies are just gorgeous. Another thing I need to try with my new Heidi Swapp sprays. I read The Fault in Our Stars, too. Wonderful book. With 2 teenaged daughters, I enjoy YA fiction that my girls would read, too.
ReplyDeleteKara both of your card are so gorgeous! So creative to use the ampersand as the butterfly body! I am heading to Michael's today to look at the shimmer sprays. I have to thank you for inspiring me to try some new techniques--get out of my safety zone!
ReplyDeleteMy 16 year old read the book and passed it to me to read as well. I sobbed! I love your cards especially the clever way you stamped the sentiments.
ReplyDeleteThese are so gorgeous, Kara!
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty, Kara. I too cried so much reading that book. I had to stop :(
ReplyDeletePRETTY cards Kara!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh...
ReplyDeleteI just finished it last night too!!
I don't recommend reading while walking on the treadmill...
Patrick thought I was possibly having a heart attack
or after using some anti wrinkle cream that apparently strips the skin off your face...
hurt like a mother!!
But love these gorgeous beauties...
I'm so getting some of these sprays on my next trip to Mike's!! :)
Very pretty cards, Kara!!!
ReplyDeleteWow Kara...you are getting really good with those sprays! Love your pretty butterfly and little sentiment banner. Thanks for the link about the SSS giveaway...that would be a fun one to win!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous butterflies--love the ampersand bodies! TFS all the fun techniques using the sprays.
