When I first get a new stamp set I don't set out to make the most creative thing I can think of. I just want to stamp the images and see how they look. I just need use them once and get over the excitement of a new set. After that I can start to think about the other sets it would work with and sometimes come up with a unique way to use the set. This is the card I made to "get my feet wet" with the set. I liked the color combination so I decided to use it to make a quick anniversary card for my brother and his wife.
Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card...I have this set on my wish list for sure and you've provided such wonderful inspiration Kara!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card, and you certainly did more than just get your feet wet. I think I know what you mean about starting with new stamp sets. I usually go back to the DT cards, and case or simplify something, just to get a feel for the stamps.
ReplyDeleteI really like this - your precision stamping and 'knowing' which hexes to leave out and still have a balanced and interesting design! Well done!
ReplyDeleteKara your card is lovely and I am so with you. I need to see the stamp set in its original form before i can feel creative with it. Like Joyce I revisit the Design Teams posts for inspiration or CASEing.
ReplyDeleteOh...I like this! Great colors. I can't wait to get mine :)
ReplyDeleteAren't these hexagons so fun!? I love the color combo that you used and how you added their initials... I am sure they will love it! :)
