I have to work today so I won't be around to see what you have made until tonight. I'm looking forward to it!
I made 2 cards this time. The first one has been one of those 'ideas to try' that rolls around in your mind until you finally do it. That is, to use the block alphabet dies with the postage stamp die. Kind of like the LOVE free download from the anniversary celebration.
Remember that?
This second card I made out of stamped background strips that didn't end up on the original card. I stamped the peonies onto the patterns. It's busy, but I like it anyway:)
Thanks for stopping by!
I'll come by and see you later:)

Beautiful cards, Kara! My favourite is the first one :)
ReplyDeleteOh, these are both fantastic, Kara! I love how you added the "dad" to the sentiment on the first card and on the second one, I love the peonies stamped in green over the other background stamps! Fabulous work!
ReplyDeleteKara both of your cards are wonderful. The first card is a perfect card for dad and your second card is so cool with the stamping over the patterns.
ReplyDeleteI love the cleanliness of the first card Kara, but the second card has so many interesting things going on, I was drawn to it immediately. Love all the stamping you did on it, so many different sets combined together with the great color combo. Fantastic cards today!
ReplyDeleteWOW - You are a designing star! These two different cards are both PERFECT takes on the picture - so impressed! Hugs, Karin
ReplyDeleteI love the way you created 'dad' using the various die cuts. It's such a creative way to highlight the sentiment. The peony card is very dramatic with the background stamping pattterns in black and white! Great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant - letters with postage die! And brave - I just can't make nongreen leaves work - but you are amazing.
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards Kara! Love the clean design and your use of the negative on the letter dies on your dad card and the way you mixed the stamped images on your second with the pretty flowers looks great!
ReplyDeleteThese are both so very beautiful! I love all the mix of stamped images in the second one. So, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are FABULOUS Kara!!
ReplyDeletewowee! love, absolutely love that first card! Even the 2nd is gorgeous, you have such an eye to put all of that pattern together!
ReplyDeleteLove them both! They are wicked awesome!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are great. I have a thing for negative space so I'm naturally drawn to your first card and just love how you cut them out of the little postage dies. And the houndstooth is a great touch!
ReplyDeleteLove how you used colours and space in the first one. Am a bit jealous of your ability to use different patterns.
ReplyDeleteGr8 cards. I'm sure your dad will love his card.
ReplyDeleteBoth are gorgeous and so creative!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are amazing! Creative is RIGHT!
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Kara. Love the background with the mixed images.
ReplyDeleteI love the DAD card so much I just can't stand it...
ReplyDeleteit's perfect! :)
And the way you mixed all the various backgrounds to create that awesome pattern...
amazing as always! :)
Both are so amazing--two very different designs and both so beautifully done! The first card is the perfect CAS design and so perfect for a masculine card. And I love the stamping on the patterned papers!
ReplyDeleteWow...both of your cards are just so fabulous, the one for Father's Day is just too great and so clever. I will be pinning both of these.
ReplyDeleteI think both cards are stellar. Each has such a different feel.
ReplyDeleteThe are both great. I especially like the first one though. Love the letters.
ReplyDeleteLove both cards! The first one espeically... with the negative die cuts!
ReplyDeleteKara, your cards are always so stunning! Yet again, you knocked it out of the park. I really love the negative die cuts on the first one but the second is so pretty as well with those beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteKara, I love both these cards. The first is so clean and I love how the letters were cut out of the stamp shapes. The second one has amazed me with the wonderful way you've combined those background stamps so effectively over the top of the flowers. The flowers and bow soften it beautifully, too. Wow! Great work!
ReplyDeleteKara,
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards. My favorite is the first card. Love how you did DAD. the paper you used is perfect. The second card is truly amazing.
