Miss You Lots

 

Good Afternoon.  I wanted to write morning and then looked at the clock.  It's a snow day.  It's OK that I'm still in my pajamas.  Today I have a card to share that I created using an image from Miss You Lots that I have been putting off using for a few months.  I thought she was adorable, but thought, "I can't color that and make it look good!" My main concerns were the skin and hair.  Recently I picked up a few skin toned Copic markers and Kathy {The Daily Marker} gave me the push I needed to actually use them!

 

 

Kathy is hosting a 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  The challenge is to color a little something everyday. I started yesterday, Day 1, with skin coloring practice.  I posted my attempts on Istagram and everyone was very kind and encouraging.  I decided to finish her and I'm really happy with the results.  She's not perfect, but that's OK!

 

 

 

 Behind the heart I wanted to add some color and texture, but keep her as the focus.  I decided to stencil on some color using Fairy Dust and Silver Lining PURE Color Dye Ink.  I colored my little hearts and the cat's collar with Copics and coated them with a clear shimmer Pico Embellisher.
