Hey Guys! I'm still experimenting with my 'lightbox' for photographing my cards at night. I asked for some suggestions on Instagram and got some really great feedback that I thought I'd share with you.
One suggestion was to try using day light bulbs instead of the OttLite bulbs I currently use. I thought that was a great, inexpensive option to try and I think I'll purchase some this weekend and try it out. Another suggestion pointed me in the direction of a My Favorite Things post, by their Design Team, where they discuss their individual photography set ups. Find that post {HERE} Thanks, Jacquie, for the link!
Another suggestion was investing in a Foldio, a pop-up studio with battery powered lights attached. And finally, Yana suggested the most expensive option which is to invest in an external flash. Her photos are beautiful, so it's definitely a consideration.
For today's card I mixed WP9 Unforgettable with PTI Love Songs. They work so well together! I created my ombre' circle with 3 colors of WPlus9 PURE COLOR Dye Ink: Little Piggy, Sweet Gelato, Cranberry Crush. I've also added new projects to the Friday Inspiration File for this week {#206}
Cardstock: Recollections White, PTI Black
Stamps: WP9 Unforgettable, PTI Love Songs
Ink: WP9 Little Piggy, Sweet Gelato, Cranberry Crush, Versafine Onyx
Dies: WP9 Unforgettable, LF Circle, SSS Stitched Rectangle
Other: Recollections Rhinestones, Copic Marker
Here are the lights that I use. They have worked well for me.

ReplyDeleteOh, so adorable--love the pink! I still have problems with lighting even though hubby bought me two lights when I was doing pet portraits. I think they're probably too large and I struggle with getting them set correctly.

ReplyDeleteThat's an adorable card! I have an external flash and I bounce it off the wall or ceiling for low light situations. It does make a much more natural looking light!
