Watercolor Dahlias

Thursday, May 20, 2010

I love trying new techniques. This is a variation on Batik. I tried it with Copic markers and tissue paper and loved the results. When I saw a tutorial using the same technique, but with watercolors I couldn't wait to try it. It creates such a beautiful and soft effect. I'm excited to try this technique with other stamp sets.

My cousin is getting married and this card will be for her and her new husband on their wedding day. It has been a busy week at work with night performances of the school chorus. My student has a special performance signing one of the songs. She did a great job!
Tomorrow is Friday:), have a great weekend!

Cardstock: PTI White, Spring Moss
Stamps: Delightful Dahlia
Ink: Memento Black, Versamark
Punch: Martha Stewart Scallop Border Punch
Other: Ribbon, Watercolor Pencils, Clear Embossing Powder
