Proud Of You

 

Hello, It's Friday!  It was such a warm day today, but of course it rained!  That's OK, I'll take it because the temps are supposed to drop back down this weekend. 

 

I made this card a few weeks ago and forgot to photograph it until tonight.  I made this card for my nephew who is still doing his Army training.  He was able to go home for Christmas and be with his family and we were able to FaceTime which was nice!

 

Again, I pulled out some old favorites.  Both of these sets are from PTI {Star Prints and Military Hero}and I even used my trusty old Fiskars star punch.  Not sure you can even get those anymore.  I did get rid of most of my punches, but this is one of the few that I kept.  I knew I'd use it again.

Holiday {Thank You} Village

 

Every year I like to send out a few Holiday Thank You cards. I don't think they are necessary, but I really like to send them to people who I can't thank for a gift in person, like my aunt and uncle.  They live too far away for us to spend Christmas together and although I thank them on the phone for their gift I feel like a handmade card is just that little bit extra!

 

I made this little village scene with WPlus9 Holiday Houses and the Landscape Border Dies.  I created the night sky by sponging on some distress ink behind a window cut with the Basic Label Die.  The sentiment was created with the Basic Greetings Die and Basic Labels stamp set.  All of these awesome supplies are linked below.  If you'd like a little more info on how I created this card visit the WPlus9 Design Blog.

Love Note {Book}

Hello! Happy Saturday!  We are surrounded by snow and it is COLD! I have been up in my craft room grateful for all of the extra crafting time.  I got my projects for WPlus9 completed and still had the time, energy and inspiration {all at the same time} to create some extra projects!  I seem to be in short supply of one or more of those lately.  It feels so good when they all come together.
 

I really want to focus on pulling out my old favorites from my stash.  This adorable PTI set called Love Songs hasn't seen the light of day in years.  It's such a great set too!  Of course, I couldn't help mixing it with some new favorites like WP9 Love Mom Layers and 4 Bar Rectangle dies.

I also made one of these little notebooks that I love!  You can purchase the notepads from PTI.  I believe they still sell them.  I'll have to check because I need some more in the white{they also come in cream}.

A Happy New Year

 

Hello! Happy New Year!  We have just been puttering around the house today taking down Christmas decorations and doing other chores that need to be done.  Next year though, I want to host a New Year's Day brunch.  My friend mentioned she was going to one this morning and I thought that sounded like a fun way to wrap up the holidays.  Nothing formal, just come on over type thing.

 

 I have just a few more cards that I made in 2017 to share with you.  This one was I shared on the WPlus9 Blog a few weeks ago.  I made it for some friends who came to our Christmas party and brought me the most beautiful hostess gift, 6 crystal glasses with Christmas trees cut into the sides of them! I did not expect hostess gifts and definitely not one as beautiful as that.  I thought a very special Christmas/ Thank You card was in order.
