Weekend Projects

Sunday, March 13, 2011

A friend at work is having a baby girl in April.
This weekend I'm working on getting her gift together.  We are having a little shower for her next week at work.

I made a few onesies, but I still want to pick her up a little stuffed animal and a gift card.

What are you working on this weekend?

Friday Inspiration File #6

Friday, March 11, 2011

So glad it's Friday.
I hope you have a great weekend.
Enjoy!

Melinda created a scrapbook page for her perfect little Lily. Check out what she created with her favorite little paper punch. Make sure you scroll down to the last picture!

Karen created her card with a unique color combination I never would have thought to use!

Paper Crafts Connection had a great post focused on twine.  Some really great projects in that post, especially the 'hello' card.

Speaking of twine, check out Jen's card!

Valerie made the cutest project for a Practicing Creativity reveal.

Love the sweet card Keva made with the most wonderful texture!

One woman's reject is another woman's treasure!  I just adore Kelly's card!

Superior Quality

This is my second card for Make It Monday: Distressed Edges.  This card was fun to make.  I don't often do this style.  It doesn't come naturally to me, but every now and then it works.  It's a fun feeling when it all seems to fall into place.

I realize, though, that I forgot a sentiment.
I'll probably add something to the bottom left corner later.

On this card I distressed the entire card base as well as the button card.

Hope your week is going well!

Make It Monday #5 Distressed Edges

Tuesday, March 8, 2011

This week's Make It Monday is all about distressed edges.  I love this technique.  I used the blade of an exacto knife to shred the edges of this card just like I did on this card a while back.

All of the stamps on this card are from Button Boutique.  This set is so versatile.  I especially love the little stitching stamp over the grungeboard heart.  I'm not a sewer and I love that I can achieve this look without sewing!

Here's a little close up of the distressing!

Have a great day!!

Flowers For Your Birthday

Monday, March 7, 2011

One of my new favorite stamps is the dotted cross stamp from Button Boutique.  I really think it has a lot of potential to be used in so many ways!  Here I've used it to create a grid pattern background and I stamped one of the flowers from the focal image in each square.  In Vintage Cream it is subtle, but I like it.

Happy Monday!

Friday Inspiration File #5...A Day Late

Saturday, March 5, 2011

Somehow Friday snuck up on me this week and I didn't have my post ready. Then dinner with friends last night came as a welcome surprise. Better late than never.
Enjoy this week's inspiration!

I love this card that Keva made.  The colors and design really are beautiful and calming.

Eva made this really pretty card by creating a pattern with a stem and leaf stamp.

Adorable pinwheels that Jen framed..so cute!  (scroll down to the bottom of the post)

I loved Heather's cards for the PTI Wedding Day Revisited post.

Love how Melinda used patterned paper on this card.

The 2nd card in Lea's post (the winter one) is just stunning!  She also made this card with the prettiest ruffles.

I think this is my favorite this week.  Lindsay did an awesome job!

One last project that really caught my eye.  This is an example of  'more is more'!  Love the impact of all of those butterflies on one project!
