This was actually the first card I made for the CR84FN Color Challenge. I'm not in love with the coloring. From a distance it looks OK, but close up it looks a little over worked. Sometimes the more you try to blend it seems like color is removed by the lightest color. Know what I mean?
Have a great day!
Cardstock: PTI White, Royal Velvet
Stamps: PTI Hello Friend, In Bloom
Ink: Memento Black
Other: Copics, CB Embossing Folder, Corner Rounder Punch
I think both the coloring and embossing on it are perfect Kara. Wish I could have my best copic coloring look like your "not so favorite" ones. Love that Royal Velvet cardstock too, probably one of my favorite colors.
ReplyDeleteLove this Kara! I think the flowers look wonderful, and the sentiment is so pretty! I wish PTI would make more sentiments with that open font.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors! Love the deep purple with the color used on the flowers. A very pretty card.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean - my purple copics are too far apart in shade, and the darkest gets all 'motheaten'. That being said, this is a beautiful card and it's better colouring than I can do!!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a pretty card Kara! Great job coloring that beautiful blossom! Thanks so much for playing along with CR84FN :)
ReplyDeleteI think the colouring on this wonderful flower is fab!! And I love the dotty texture too! Thanks for playing along with CR84FN this week!

ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Kara! I love the purple colors. I know what you mean about how copics can sometimes be overworked, but I think your coloring looks great. It's a very lovely card!
