16 Birthday Balloons

Thursday, January 28, 2016

Hey guys! Just 'popping' in quickly to share a card I made on Monday.  I finally remembered to photograph it.  I die cut, stamped, and layered several balloons.  I positioned them all near the top of my die cut panel and then trimmed the overhang.

I love this striking color combination of PURE Color Dye Ink: Black, Gala Red, Ocean Drive, and Wild Mango.

I have some exciting new release
projects to share with you very soon!

Snow Day

Saturday, January 23, 2016

Hello! You've probably heard by now that the Northeast of the US is getting a big snowstorm or you're buried under it like we are!  I'm taking the opportunity to do what I love most {not including Ryan and Piper, of course ;)}
Craft and Bake!

I had some bananas that were on their way out so I decided to bake some banana bread.  Unfortunately, I realized I didn't have enough butter and running to the store was not an option.  This is why I love Pinterest!  I typed 'banana bread with oil' into the search bar and a recipe came up that used coconut oil instead of butter.  That I have!  Here is the recipe I used.  It turned out great.  I threw in some chocolate chips because......chocolate!

For my card today I incorporated three challenges {all linked below}.  I love leaves stamped in non-traditional colors.  For these I used Warm Wool, Cranberry Crush, Little Piggy, and Wild Mango.  All are WPlus9 PURE Color Dye Inks.  I stamped some of the leaves onto the card front.  Some are stamped on die cuts and tucked under the banner.  I added the little love bunnies among the leaves.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
I hope you are warm and dry!

Rosie Posie Birthday

Thursday, January 21, 2016

There's another birthday at work and more spring flowers are in order.  I pulled out one of my favorite floral sets, PTI Rosie Posie.  I stamped more than I needed and added some shading with my Copic markers.  I die cut the card front using the Lattice Frame Die.  This die is an exclusive die, only available directly from WPlus9.  I die cut the panel a second time using the large rectangle from Gift Card Layers die set to add faux stitching around the perimeter.

The center of this die cut is the perfect place to add a sentiment.  I used this beautiful stamp from the PTI Graceful Greeting stamp set.
Once my sentiment was stamped, I was able to start arranging.  This is when it is totally worth it to have prepared all of my images in advance.  I had plenty to play with and move around to create my floral arrangements.

I think she's going to love it!

Thanks so much for coming by today!
We are due for a big snowstorm this weekend.  What about you?

It's Your Day!

Monday, January 18, 2016

There is snow on the ground, but it's Spring in my craft room.  We got the first snow of the season yesterday.  It's been unseasonably warm here as it seems to be everywhere.  I can't say I mind. Tomorrow is a colleague's birthday and I wanted to create a special card for her.

I created a frame for my sentiment using the Sunshine Layers Die, the Anastasia Tag Die, and one of the SSS Stitched Rectangle Dies.  Once those were all layered up I used the Watercolor Anemones stamps and dies to decorate the frame.  I used my favorite PURE Color Dye Ink spring floral combinations: Little Piggy, Sweet Gelato, Cranberry Crush and Hayride, Falling Star, Flamingo.

A little black butterfly and some Doodlebug Sprinkles balance out the placement of the flowers.

Thanks so much for coming by today!
