Ornament Card

I really liked this card that Kristina made and wanted to make my version. I made some marshmallows last night. It was just a trial run. I would like to give some as gifts packaged with some hot chocolate and a mug. They were actually pretty easy to make. The only change I think I'll make is to beat the mixture just a bit longer. I think they could have been fluffier. I'll post pictures of them, along with the recipe, later.

Pumpkin Cheesecake With A Gingersnap Crust

Happy Thanksgiving to those of you who are celebrating today! We are getting together with family. Ryan made this insane Pumpkin Cheesecake. I can't wait to try it. It cracked on the top, but I'm sure it still tastes great.

I picked up some David Wiesner books from the library to share with my nephews today. I hope they like them as much as I do.

Christmas Garden Tote

I loved the way this card came out and wanted to make a gift box to go along with it for a gift for one of the teachers that I work with. I decided to use my Garden Tote Template. It is available for download through my Etsy shop.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Ryan is with his dad working on their street rod today. It will look something like this when they are done. I ran a few errands this morning and have had a nice quiet afternoon to make some cards for Christmas. (Quiet except when Lady barks at the squirrels, dogs, people, etc...I love her anyway :)

A Shaker Card

I haven't made a shaker card in so long. I thought the flower soft inside a shaker would look really pretty.

Tomorrow is Friday, any good plans?

A Nice {Long} Weekend

Well, it's back to work after a 4 day weekend. Thursday I had to myself. I went to the library, made my meringue bones for the party, and made a few cards and things. Despite my lack of natural talent in the kitchen, the meringues turned out really well. I followed the recipe, but when I took them out of the oven, they were still sticky. Rather than starting over, I tried putting them back in the oven with a slightly higher temperature for an additional hour. They came out perfect.
Everyone loved them too!

On Friday, we took a ride down to Cape May. It was such a beautiful day, but very chilly. I got to use the awesome scarf my mom made for me. We combed the beaches for bits of quartz, went on a bird watching walk, and had warm soup and sandwiches for lunch at Bella Vida.

I made a few tags for gifts of the homemade variety.

Hope your week is off to a good start!
